CLASSES
There will be singlehanded and doublehanded divisions in each class. Each skipper must indicate on the entry form the class and division in which he or she is sailing.

HANDICAPS/ONE DESIGN CLASSES
All boats (including one-designs) must have a current PHRF or MPHRF certificate.  No exceptions.  If six or more boats of the same type are entered they may be scored as a separate class.
 

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT PHRF CERTIFICATES Because of the timing of the PHRF renewal cycle, most of you will not have 2000 certificates in time to include with your Three Bridge entry.  So FOR THIS RACE ONLY we will accept a copy of your final 1999 certificate.  If you did not have a 1999 certificate, or your boat's rating has changed (e.g.. for a new sailplan), you will need to contact YRA to get a 2000 certificate pronto!  And remember that to enter any other race this season you will need to provide us with your 2000 certificate.

SKIPPER'S MEETING
There will be a skipper's meeting on Wednesday, January 26, at 7:30 pm at the Oakland Yacht Club

TROPHY PRESENTATION
There will be trophy presentation on Wednesday, February 16, at 7:30 pm at the Oakland Yacht Club.  Note that this is one week later than the usual schedule for the trophy meeting.

STARTING TIMES AND SIGNALS
This is a reverse start ("pursuit") race, with the start time for each boat based on its PHRF or MPHRF rating.  See the attached sheet for the individual start times.

First Start (Boats with 260 PHRF or higher)	Red	09:30

STARTING LINE
A line between the orange marker on the Golden Gate Yacht Club race deck and the "X" buoy off the Golden Gate Yacht Club.  Boats may start in either direction. Any boat crossing the line within the five minute period prior to its designated start time will be considered to have started early and will automatically incur a 20 minute penalty.

RECALL
Boats over early will not be hailed and the individual recall flag will not be flown.

COURSE
The three course marks are the Crissy Field (Blackaller) buoy, Red Rock, and Treasure Island.  Boats may round the marks in any order and any direction.  Refer to the Sailing Instructions for restricted areas.

FINISH
The finish line is the same as the start line.  Boats may finish in either direction.

CHECK IN
Check-in via VHF channel 69 prior to 10 minutes before the individual boat's scheduled start time is mandatory.  Boats are requested to check in as they approach their finish.

CALCULATED DISTANCE
The calculated distance for the race is 21 miles.

TIME LIMIT
The time limit is 1900 hours on the day of the race.
