Additions to the Sailing Instructions

CLASSES
This is a singlehanded race. Each skipper must indicate on the entry form the class in which he or she is sailing.

SKIPPER'S MEETING
There will be a skipper's meeting on Wednesday, October 18, at 7:30 pm at the Oakland Yacht Club.

TROPHY PRESENTATION
There will be trophy presentation on Wednesday, November 1, at 7:30 pm at the Oakland Yacht Club .
 
STARTING TIMES AND SIGNALS
Warning White/Yellow 10:00
Preparatory Blue 10:05
Class V - Non-Spinnaker Red 10:10
Class IV - PHRF 169 & over Red 10:15
Class III - PHRF 130 to 168 Red 10:20
Class II - PHRF 129 & under Red 10:25
Class I - Multihulls Red 10:30

STARTING LINE
A line between the red race signal on the Committee Boat and the "G" buoy (on the Berkeley Circle), leaving the Committee Boat to starboard.

COURSE
From the Starting Line to the Finish, leaving Mare Island Strait Entrance Buoys G "1" and "3" to port.

ADDITIONAL RESTRICTED AREA
The Pinole Shoal dredged channel from Pinole Point beginning with R "8" and following an imaginary line between R "8", "10", "12", "14", and G "15" is restricted and must be left to the North. (See chartlet.)  Boats entering the Restricted Area must retire or face protest and disqualification.

FINISH
A line drawn across the Vallejo Channel in front of the Vallejo Yacht Club race deck, defined by two blue and white poles as a range mark.

CHECK IN
Check-in via VHF channel 69 prior to the initial warning signal for the race is mandatory.

CALCULATED DISTANCE
The calculated distance for the race is 19.5 miles.

TIME LIMIT
The time limit is 1900 hours on the day of the race.
