I'm sorry for the last report being late but I had a difficult time making the connection with the shore base.  I understand that the race committee didn't get 6/30 0900 position reports so here they are:

At Last:  34 47N, 130 15W
Bravo:  35 11, 125 24
Color Blind: 33 45, 129 13
Compass Rose: 36 23, 129 22
Giggles:  34 52, 129 39
Harrier:34 21, 129 00
Lakota:  30 08,136 36
Leilani Too:  Returned to SF
Razzberries:33 51, 129 39
Solitaire: 34 42, 130 44

Last night I set the 3/4 oz spinnaker and this AM God took it down!  I was just a little too slow in getting to it when a gust came and I spun out.  When the sail filled again it was with a loud bang and the leech split from head to foot.  I'm now flying the 1.5 oz and things are under control. One good thing about this event is that when I lowered the halyard I saw that it was frayed almost through near the shackle.  If the kite hadn't blown up I would have lost the halyard.  Now I have been able to cut the frayed end off and will be able to use the starboard wing halyard again.

Right now (1800 on Tue)I'm doing 8 kt on course 234 deg.  My current position is N 34 05, W 131 48 (trip nm: 557).  I will try and send another email after tonight's checkin.

Bye for now,

Steve
